Santiago de Compostela is known worldwide as the pilgrim city. Since the 9th century, people do the Camino de Santiago to see the shrine of the apostle St. James. Nowadays, thousands of pilgrims (most not affiliated with any religion) arrive every day at Santiago de Compostela, and see the the imposing Cathedral and its medieval streets.
