Elche is located close to the Mediterranean and it's old centre combines the Muslim and Baroque architecture. Elche is mostly visited during the Domingo de Ramos (Palm Sunday) and the Mystery of Elche, two holiday celebrations that transforms Elche into a party town. The Palmeral of Elche is a beautiful Arab park with an elaborate irrigation systems constructed in the 10th century.
