DESCRIPTION
The old medieval wall was substituted in the 15th century because it was to small for the city. Fernandinas Wall was it replacement, built by D. Fernando, a Portuguese king. Trecho do Caminho Novo is located next to the Escadas do Caminho Novo (Caminho Novo Steps).
