D. Luís bridge is an iconic landmark constructed in 1886 to link Porto to the Wine Cellars on the other side of the river. When D. Luís bridge was inaugurated, it held the record of the longest iron bridge arch in the world. Pedestrians and the Subway crosses the upper deck of the bridge (offers a fantastic view over Oporto), while the lower deck is used by cars and pedestrians.
