Zermatt is located in the Matter Valley near Matterhorn, one of the last alpine mountains to be conquered. Zermatt is a fantastic ski resort and to prevent the Matterhorn view is not obstructed this village is completely car free. Electric vehicles are allowed for local commerces. To get to Zermatt you need to catch a shuttle from Täsch or the fantastic scenic train from Brig or Visp (Bernina Express).
