DESCRIPTION

Thessaloniki is a second biggest city in the country, a port city located in the Thermaic Gulf, in northern Greece. Since the 20th century to the present day, the city has been greatly rebuilt due to a fire in 1917 that destroyed most of it. Thessaloniki is full of history, especially near Ano Poli, the upper town, with dozens of Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman buildings and museums. It's less touristic than Athens, but Thessaloniki is a true Greece city where you will be able to discover the Greece culture.
