Sant Angelo Castle changed purpose throughout the years. It has been a fortress, a prison and even a papal residence. Nowadays, Sant Angelo Castle hosts temporary art shows. The entrance to Sant Angelo Castle is an Hadrian's spiralling ramp and from the top you have a superb view of Rome.
