Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano was the original papal headquarters after it moved to St. Peter and the Vatican in the 14th century. The original basilica was mostly destroyed by fire, earthquake and barbarians attacks, but there are still a few traces left. Restored during the centuries, Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano is an imposing basilica with a over decorated hangar.
