Városliget (City Park) is the largest park in the city with several attractions, including the Zoo, the Széchenyi Medicinal Baths, the Vajdahunyad Castle and the Hősök tere. For centuries, Városliget used to be a swamp where Hungarian Kings were elected, but it was transformed into an English park between the 18th and 19th century.
