Berlin Nordbahnhof is a regular suburban train station with a fantastic story. During the Cold War, the Berlin Nordbahnhof was closed down and heavily guarded so people could not escape East Germany through the subway lines. These were known as 'Ghost Station's because West trains did not stop, only East trains. The decoration has not been changed.
