Sainte Chapelle was the royal chapel of the residence of the Kings of France until the 14th century. Consecrated in 1248, Sainte-Chapelle is of the world's most important building of Gothic architecture and it houses a collection of relics, including the Crown of Thorns. Sainte-Chapelle has the most extensive 13th century stained glass collection in the world depicting scenes from the Old and New Testament.
