Oswiecim (Auschwitz in German) is a small industrial city located between Katowice and Krakow. It was supposed to be a normal Poland city, however the Nazis made the largest attempt at genocide in human history in here. Divided in two concentration camps, the Auschwitz Monowitz is the main and smallest camp (today a museum) and the Auschwitz Birkenau an extermination camp (in reconstruction).
