Coudenberg (dutch for cold hill) is the former location of the Palace of Coudenberg, the seat of government of the rulers of Belgium for 7 centuries, until its destruction in 1731. Nowadays, after years of excavations, Coudenberg is an archaeological site with vestiges of the Palace and its foundations.
