Cinquantenaire Park is a large park commissioned for the fiftieth anniversary of Belgian independence. Built in 1880, the Cinquantenaire Park has a majestic triumphal arch erected in 1905. The large park is divided in several picturesque gardens, lakes and waterfalls; and it hosts several exhibitions, festivals and fairs through the years, until it was transformed into a public park.
